About Me

From Lived Experience to Real Change: Why I Stand Brave

I wasn’t born into comfort or power — I was born into chaos, struggle, and survival. I know what it feels like to grow up in broken systems, to go without, to face things no child should ever face. I’ve lived in homes with no power, fed my kids with creative kai from near-empty cupboards, and fought like hell to break cycles that tried to define me.

But I also know what it means to rise. Not because someone handed me a perfect plan — but because I found grit, love, and a fire that refused to go out.

I didn’t learn how to lead from textbooks or boardrooms. I learned from holding my children close when life was crumbling. I learned from showing up at school gates, job interviews, and courtrooms when my heart was breaking. I learned from listening to others — because I’ve been there too.

I care about real people. Not just the numbers on a form, or the tick boxes on some policy paper. I care about the mum trying to hold it together, the kid slipping through school, the man who wants to work but doesn’t know where to start. I care about the people the system forgot.

That’s why I created Stand Brave Together.

Because we’re not here to follow the rules of a broken system — We’re here to build something new.

A movement that understands struggle. A plan that includes all of us. A vision powered by compassion, not control.

I've Lived it so I know how to relate to te real issues.
