didn’t set out to become an MP.
I set out to survive — and to help others survive too.

I’ve lived a life most politicians wouldn’t understand.
I’ve raised five children on my own, while battling trauma, poverty, and a system that too often pushes people down instead of lifting them up. I’ve lived through housing struggles, food insecurity, school failures, benefit barriers, and medical trauma. But I’ve also lived through love, community, rebuilding, and hope.

What I saw — and what I still see — is that people aren’t broken.
The systems are.

I got tired of watching the same political circles talk about change while nothing changed for the families I know — families like mine.

That’s when I realised something:
If no one else was going to stand brave for the people who are unheard, unseen, and underestimated — then I would.

The Birth of Stand Brave Together

I didn’t want just another party with a polished pitch and big promises. I wanted a movement built by real people, with grit, heart, and lived experience. People who’ve been through the fire and still care enough to turn around and help others through it too.

Stand Brave Together was born from pain, purpose, and possibility.

It’s for:

• The single mum making kai stretch for five mouths

• The young person trying to build a future from scraps

• The elder who worked their whole life and still can’t afford the dentist

• The student lost in a school system that doesn’t fit

• The neighbour who wants to help, but doesn’t know how

 Why I’m Running as an MP

Because it’s time for new voices in Parliament — voices that speak with the people, not at them. Voices that carry the raw truth of real experience, and the strength of a community that’s already building its own solutions.

I’m not here for power.
I’m here for purpose.

To represent the people who’ve been left behind.
To bring forward bold ideas — like micro-schools, community-built housing, flexi-wage pathways, and national food rescue.
To fight for systems that respect human dignity and make common sense.

 This Is More Than Politics — It’s Personal

This is for the next generation.
For my kids. For yours. For the communities that keep this country going, even when the system forgets them.

We don’t need another politician.

We need builders, mothers, survivors, truth-speakers, and vision-holders.

That’s why I stand.
That’s why I run.
